biographical notes

Unknowing has become important to me.

Too much certainty dulls the experience of painting and its results.

IMG 6964 Lynne Saintonge has been working as a painter for the past 35 years. After completing a BFA at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University, she travelled, and lived and worked in the UK for 2 years. Moving back to New Brunswick, she lived in various communities before establishing a gallery, Joie de Vivre - contemporary art and craft, which she directed for 15 years, showing work by numerous artists.

In 2006 she was included in Colin S. MacDonald’s A Dictionary of Canadian Artists, Vol. 8.

Lynne currently lives in Riverview, NB, where she maintains a studio and gallery. Her work is appreciated by collectors nationally and internationally.
